Just went back from Marine PArade.. from outing with Faisal. it's been a long time since we saw each other after the trip. I reached there 15 minutes after the appointed time. Still, he told me he would be around there around 3.. but he didn't reach there after several minutes later. Still, I wouldn't want to complain, coz I myself am guilty for doing that several times. :p
He called my name the moment he saw me, and both of us rushed to the shuttle bus. Our intention was to go to East Coast, but the day was so hot so we changed our minds to go to MArine Parade. We read the sunday Times on the journey there. We went to MPH first, the bookstore sprawling with books. We went our own ways, and I know he will first glance for the Agatha Christie mystery books. I headed to the other direction, first stopping at the mag section, then the self improvement section. I saw this book on inspiring quotes. I read through a few of them and decided to sit down. By then, I went through halfway and my attention faltered.
We spent a bit of time in MPH, and I also grabbed the chance to take a look on those colouring books. I flipped through the pages of the famous cartoon the Blue dog, and decided instantly that spongebob squarepants kids level are more advanced than that.
We didn't buy anything, so we walked around the mall. I just spent my time looking around at the shops. We walked together silently, and hips starting having a dull ache.
HAix, yesterday it was the left leg, but now the pain has travelled to the other side. By the time we finished looking at all the shops, my middle and my right leg hurt.
Right now, as I'm typing the post, my left knee hurt badly again.
At that time, Faisal went to a video shop while I stayed outside. I massaged my knee for a while, while leaning against the railing and started people-watching. Once I got so engrossed I didn't realise he came behind me. He poked me at the sides - both of them - and I fell back a step with a slight jump. (He knows my weak spots)
He spotted an exit and pointed to me the way.. it turned out that the door led us out of nowhere. We just sat down on the platform, behind us were the pandan plants. The exit was actually to a couple of condominiums, a tennis court and carpark. We actually commented that whoever living in those condos are actually very lucky to get to a shopping mall in walking distance.
For the first time during that date, we chatted. As the investiture was coming, he was slowly counting down the days when he could finally be free. I listened most of the time, and we paused for a while. He asked me about work, and other things I find most frustrating in my life right now. He asked me whether I decided to study again. I really wished to, but the money part was blocking my way. I brushed off an ant going across my lap and decided to stand. I flopped down, and leant against the platform. he gave me a lot of suggestions too.
He looked at his watch and said..
"Adilla, let's get you home."
"but it's still early."
"I got to go home and phone the other councillors about the event tml morning."
My face changed, but I have to understand that he had to work.
We went back to the bus stop. He told me he was tired from archery in the morning and going out with me in the afternoon. Both of us napped for a while in the bus. The moment we reached Bedok MRT Control Station, he gave me my bag and asked me for our albums.
We made our usual farewell greetings and parted ways.
